What's A Birth Cart?
For centuries, humans have looked to the heavens for guidance. Why do you need my time of birth?
If your birth time is unknown, I cannot accurately know the Ascendant or house positions. Additionally, we may not know the Moon sign for certain. This is because the Moon changes signs approximately every 2-1/2 days.
Less probable but still possible is a change of signs for the other planets and luminaries, depending on the planet itself (for example, the Sun changes signs every 30 days or so).

First up are the Zodiac signs. Your zodiac sign dictates some of the dominant traits that you share with others who are born around the same time of year as you.
Most of us are familiar with our Sun sign and it's basic characteristics. This is the sign you see when you look up your horoscope. What many people don't know that we actually have ALL of the signs somewhere in our charts, and depending on where they are placed (in which houses) will mean different things.

The 12 Zodiac signs are divided amongst 4 elements. These elements are Fire, Earth, Air and Water, with each element having it's own set of characteristics .
- Fire Signs - Aries, Leo, and Sagittarius - Fiery, passionate and action-driven.
- Earth Signs - Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn - grounded, methodical and practical.
- Air Signs - Gemini, Libra and Aquarius - Light-heartened personality, witty and communicative
- Water Signs- Cancer, Scorpio, and Pisces. - Intuitive, emotionally fluid, interconnected, adaptable.

Modes - The 12 signs of the Zodiac are also characterized into "Modes". The mode of zodiac signs are based on whether the sign falls at the beginning, middle or end of a season, and include Cardinal, Fixed and Mutable.
- Cardinal Signs - Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, These signs are at the beginning of a new season and thus are said to be great initiators of change and innovative.
- Fixed Signs - come in the middle of the season and so have great perseverance, determination and stability. They include . Taurus (earth), Leo (fire), Scorpio (water), and Aquarius (air).
- Mutable signs - occur at the end of a season and so signify adaptability, dependability and the closure of projects. These are Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces.
The Yin and Yang

Finally, All of the signs also have either Yin AND Yang qualities:
- Yin - The divine feminine energy and relates to our intuition, emotions, nurture, relationships and Common-Unity
- Yang - The divine masculine and relates to willpower, strength, perseverance and other qualities we traditionally associate as masculine.
It is important to remember, like we have all Zodiac signs present in our Birth or Natal charts, we also have the Presence of both Yin and Yang IN DIFFERING quantities per individual star chart.

The Houses

This is where things really start happening in your Birth Chart.
Following just your Sun sign horoscope can only give you so much information about your galactic programming. It All comes down to which of the 12 Houses the planets were in at the exact time and location of your birth. Your potential positive and negative aspects are signified by each house.
Determining which planet was in which house at the time of your birth suggests how the different aspects of our lives will manifest. Here are the basic representation of the houses.
- House I is the area of self-identity. The ascendant is a symbol of how one acts in life. It is the image of the personality as seen by others, and the attitude that one has towards life.
- House II - the second house - is the area of material security and values. It rules money and personal finances, sense of self-worth and basic values, personal possessions.
- House III - the third house - is the area of social and intellectual learning.
- House IV - the fourth house - is the area of home, family, roots, and deep emotions/sense of self-worth.
- House V - the fifth house - is the area of creative self-expression, romance, entertainment, children, and gambling.
- House VI - the sixth house - is the area of learning by material transaction.
- House VII - the seventh house - is the area of one-to-one relationships such as marriage and partnership, and of social and intellectual action.
- House VIII - the eighth house - is the area of emotional security and of security of the soul..
- House IX - the ninth house - is the area of learning that shapes the identity.
- House X - the tenth house - is the area of material action. The Mid heaven represents the work one will do in one's life, the place one will take in the world of society. It becomes more important as one grows older.
- House XI - the eleventh house - is the area of search for social and intellectual security.
- House XII - the twelfth house - is the area of education and of emotion. This is where we meet our karma, deal with endings, and sometimes where we bury things.
